How do I get a Travel Journal?

There are two types of Travel Journals to chose from: automatic and manual.

1. Buy a Travel Journal with automatic tracking

The automatic Travel Journal can only be used with one of the following ekit SIM card services. Your trip is automatically plotted for you on a map, powered by Google, based on wherever you use your phone from. Every time you make a call or send a text message, your location is recorded on your map. An automatic entry is also added to your journal.

• Home and Roam

You simply need to purchase one of these SIM card services and follow the instructions during the purchase process to set up your Travel Journal.

2. Buy a Travel Journal with manual tracking

The manual Travel Journal is for use with your existing mobile phone service provider. You need to manually update your location either on the website or by sending a text message from your existing mobile phone. Please note: you cannot upgrade a manual Travel Journal to an Automatic Travel Journal.

I already have a compatible ekit SIM card. How do I activate my Travel Journal?

If you already have a suitable SIM card, you can activate your Travel Journal at any time. Just follow the steps below.

1. Sign-in to your account with your mobile phone number and PIN.
2. In the top navigation menu, select My account then click Account details from the drop down menu.
   * The 'Account details' page will open.
3. In the Account status section at the bottom of the page, click Create.
   * A new page will open.
4. Carefully type an ID for your journal.
   *Please use one word and all lower case characters.
5. Carefully type a 'visitor' password.
   *Please ensure that you create a password at least six characters long and that is different than other passwords that you use on the internet.
6. Click Create.

Your Travel Journal is ready to use instantly.
