Chicken bus back to David and then the long distance bus to Panama City. We had empanadas (pies made with a corn-pasrty crust and fried) and churros (basically long, extruded doughnuts, with a caramel dip) for the journey so we were sorted.

In the evening we crossed the Pacific mouth of the Panama Canal at the Bridge of the Americas. We had our final holiday dinner at a lovely restaurant out on the causeway looking back towards the skyline of Panama city.
