A strange start to the day, the Sat Nav decided that The
Golden Spike Tower was on the north side of the tracks, wrong! So it was back
to manual navigation after a free breakfast at Taco John’s, why free you may
ask – simple they forgot my order and get me my money back and gave me the
breakfast as well. I spent the day at The Golden Spike Tower photo and video
the activities,

Two years ago while Marlene and I were on one of our cross country trips we saw this in the offical Nebraska brochure and stopped in North Platte to see it. After looking for over an hour we finally asked one of the yard workers who informed us it was still being built. It looks good. We might have to go back.
