We headed off to the American Airforce Museum (The world largest and oldest aviation museum) near Dayton Ohio at the Wright-Patterson Airforce Base. An amazing display of Aircraft and Artefacts associated with flight from the turn of the century till the present, the Wright Brothers grew up locally and did much of their testing on the site where the airforce base now is. The Number of Planes was amazing including B52s and Stealth Fighters all inside, we were too late to get on a tour of all the Non Current Airforce One Presidential jets which was a bit disappointing, but we probably didn't have time anyway.
After lunch we headed off to Pittsburgh Pensylvania through the top corner of West Virginia. Its so unbelievably green here, Pittsburgh is such a stunning town which appeared suddenly as we came out of a tunnel through the mountain on to a grand bridge and the City was just there! There must be at least 10 bridges across the Two rivers that meet here all within a couple of miles of each other, and all of them are interesting steel structures a century old. (We later discovered Pittsburgh actually has more than 400 bridges)
