Visited Bonampak and Yaxchilan Ruins Yesterday.

Much less touristy than Chichen Itza. Bonampak still had some coloured artwork in good condition inside some of the ruins. Yaxxhillan is very isolated in middle of lush jungle. Had to take a 40minute boatride there and back.

Guatemala was on the other side of the river. Had it almost to ourselves at one stage. Good coz we could walk on and in it. There were bats in the ruins and spider monkeys right up in the trees above us. Amazing to be so close to them in the wild.
