The Poland SIM card, combined with an international mobile phone, is the most simple and economical solution for staying in touch while in Poland. All incoming calls while in Poland are FREE, regardless of where they originate. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a mobile phone in Poland like you do at home. Since this SIM card is prepaid, there are no monthly fees and no need for a contract.

Domestic calls

All outgoing domestic calls are charged a flat rate of 0.69 Zy ($0.18 USD) per minute.
All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are free with your Poland SIM card.harge.

Incoming text messages are free. Outgoing messages are 0.24 Zy ($0.06 USD) per message.

International calls

International rates are per minute for outgoing calls while in Malaysia .

Activating your service

Your Poland mobile phone number is printed underneath the bar code on the reverse side of your Poland SIM card packaging, to the right of 'Twoj numer" and begins 698. It may also be phone number may also be found in small print on your SIM card.

To activate your service:

  1. Travel to Poland.
  2. Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
  4. Turn your phone on.
  5. Enter the PIN1 code (if required)^
  6. Set voice prompts to English
  7. Start calling.

* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.

^Your phone will prompt you for a 4 digit PIN code, which is located in the duo-fold envelope opposite the Era Poland SIM card. You will be prompted for PIN1. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.


Making and receiving calls

How to make a call

To make an international call from your Poland mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.

How family and friends call you

Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, the country code 48 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 48 and then your mobile phone number.


Recharging your account

Your SIM card has an initial credit of 20 PLN ($7.00 USD).

To add credit to your Poland SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Reload codes. You will find recharge vouchers at Tabac shops, convenience stores, Era shops and authorized dealers in Poland. They are available in 4 denominations: 20 PLN ($7.00 USD), 49 PLN ($16.00 USD), 99 PLN ($33.00 USD) and 149 PLN ($49.00 USD) with 179 PLN credit.

To recharge your account:

  1. Purchase a recharge voucher.
  2. Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code.
  3. Enter your voucher code.
  4. Start calling.

To check your current balance:

  1. Dial *101# [SEND]
    * Your remaining balance will be displayed on your mobile phone.

Do not purchase another Poland SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!


Contacting Customer Service

Customer service for your Poland SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing *100 from your mobile phone or 510 100 100 from a landline.


Service life

If you do not recharge your account within 3 months, your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The 3 month period starts the day you arrive in Poland.
