Checking for new emails

There are two ways you can check for new emails:

Checking for new emails using ekit's phone service

Call the ekit phone service.
* After you have entered your ekit number and PIN you are told how many new and saved voicemails you have, and how many new emails you have.

Checking for new emails using the ekit website

While using the ekit website, at any time you can go to your 'Inbox' (or if you're already there, refresh the page) to see how many emails, voicemails and faxmails you have and how many are new.

Every five minutes the message service automatically checks to see if you have any new messages. If you do and you are using the ekit message service at the time, ekit displays a 'You've got mail' message and adds the new message to your Inbox. If you want to check for new messages yourself, follow this procedure:

  1. Go to your Inbox. There are two ways you can get to your Inbox:
    * Log into the website. Your Inbox will automatically be displayed.
    * If you have already logged in, click Messages in the top navigation menu.
  2. Click the Refresh icon, or click Messages in the top navigation menu.
    * If you have any new messages, they are added to your Inbox and highlighted by a band of shading.
